
Speech, Language, Reading, and Writing Intervention
Ms. Grabowski is a strong advocate of early identification and remediation of language/reading disabilities, including Dyslexia. In addition, she firmly believes that use of appropriate, research based methods for teaching language, reading, and writing skills can make a critical difference in how well a student will be able to learn and achieve to the best of his/her ability, and, ultimately, experience success in school and in life.
In her private practice, Ms. Grabowski designs specialized speech, language, and reading tutorials that are tailored to meet the individual needs of her students and are grounded in current research.
Ms. Grabowski has extensive training in specialized speech, language, and reading intervention methods/programs. She was trained in Orton-Gillingham at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition, she is trained in the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS), Reading with TLC (Telian Lively Letters and Sight Words You Can See), and Project Read (Reading Comprehension & Written Expression-Framing Your Thoughts).

Expressive language (e.g., word retrieval, spoken formulation/organization, accurate use of grammar/syntax, etc.)

Articulation/speech production, including motor planning difficulties associated with childhood apraxia of speech
Given the impact that language disorders have on a student’s academic performance, intervention services also focus on the following areas: reading comprehension/strategies, written expression, and study skills/strategies, including note taking techniques.
