Ms. Grabowski is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and licensed Reading Specialist. She also has a background in special education and certification as a special education teacher. In addition, she holds certification in elementary (K-6) & middle school (5-9) education. With more than 25 years of experience, she has evaluated and taught children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of speech, language, reading, and academic/learning challenges in school, hospital, and clinical settings.

 

Ms. Grabowski’s expertise is in Language-Based Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, and reading. In her private practice, she specializes in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with Language-Based Learning Disabilities, Language Disorders, reading difficulties, and Dyslexia. In addition, her clinical interests and expertise are in the connections between spoken and written language (i.e., listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing), language skills/abilities that are essential for acquiring basic reading skills, the impact that a language/learning/reading disability has on academic achievement, and effective methods/programs for teaching language, reading, and writing (literacy) skills.

 

Ms. Grabowski also has extensive experience evaluating and treating children and adolescents with a variety of speech-language disorders and developmental, medical, and neurological disorders impacting language, learning, and cognition, including Attention Deficit Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disabilities, and Asperger Syndrome/Autism Spectrum Disorders.
